I love creating art! When I was matched to do this painting, I was excited and nervous. How was I going to put someone else's life experiences into one art piece?! Well, I found that the person I was matched up with, Maria Bronzovich-Elia, gave me plenty of inspiration. I decided I would show her strength and determination to fight this disease and what a strong fighter and warrior she is. I was able to do this through the slogans and quotes that both helped and inspired her. I used the words of inspiration as an outline around her picture as a defense and to show the strength and meaning those words had for her. I used the color of her daughter's softball team uniforms for the color of her shirt to symbolize how they love and support each other in all areas of their lives. I used her favorite saying, " I've got this", as the main words of inspiration as she has lived these words throughout her illness and never allowed cancer to get the best of her. I only hope that I was able to convey the attitude of strength and perseverance that she was able to show throughout her fight for a life she truly loves!Shipping rates may apply if unable to pick-up night of the event.">Jay Smith, "I've Got This", 30 x 40 acrylic
