Jennifer Walker received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1983. Having majored in sculpture, Jennifer was guided to the use of many types of materials and varied methods of producing creative works. Putting this knowledge to work, she has since gone on to create ornamental relief carvings for architectural restoration, new construction, sculptures for the Kansas City Zoo, and a recent commission for the Kansas City Art Institute. Each project seems to have its own particular set of requirements, and working with architects and contractors to solve unusual problems has expanded Jennifer's range of capabilities. She is experienced in sculpting with a variety of materials, including: fiberglass, casting resin, plaster, concrete, molding clay, and rubber molding compounds. Today, Jennifer is narrowing her scope and refocusing on creating resin sculptures. After raising her son, Jennifer feels that now is the time to dust off her passion for resin and resurrect her desire for creating an art form she began over two decades ago.
