Bernadette Esperanza Torres earned her BFA from KCAI and an MFA from the University of Miami. Bernadette worked for Versace building the front entrance gates on South Beach in Florida. Bernadette was awarded an ArtsKC, Inspiration Grant. She is published in LARK-500 Figures in Clay Vol.#2, Ceramic Monthly, Sculpture, Making Faces. She has exhibited at Nerman Museum, The Carter Art Center Gallery, The Urban Art House, The Leedy Voulkos Art Center, The Blue Gallery, The JRB Art Gallery in Oklahoma and The University of Houston Clear Lake Gallery in Texas where she was reviewed by Glasstire as, "Top 5 exhibits to see in Houston". Bernadette's art is in the permanent collections of the new Kansas City International Airport, the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, and many private collections in the US and Europe. Bernadette is currently an Art Educator and Gallery Director at the Metropolitan Community College.
