Hunter-Putsch holds an MA in Painting and Printmaking from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and a BA in Studio Arts with K-12 teaching certification from Avila College. She also attended Baker University and the Kansas City Art Institute. For over a decade, she balanced her roles as a high school art instructor and administrator while pursuing her degrees. Subsequently, she assumed leadership positions including Director of Admissions at the Kansas City Art Institute and The Corcoran School of Art, later becoming the Associate Dean of The Corcoran. From 1991 to 2003, she served as Vice President and Academic Dean at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts in Connecticut. Alongside her administrative career, her artworks-paintings, drawings, collages, and prints-have been showcased in group exhibitions and acquired by private collections nationally and in Japan. Hunter-Putsch continues her artistic journey, specializing in Family Heirloom commissions and a watercolor collage series reflecting themes of love and loss, having created 27 images to date.
