Alexander Calder was an American artist best known for his innovative sculptures and mobiles. Born in 1898, Calder came from a family of artists and received his training at the Art Students League in New York. He gained recognition in the 1930s for his mobiles, which were made up of abstract shapes and suspended from the ceiling, creating a dynamic interplay between the work and its surroundings. He also created paintings, lithographs, jewelry, and theatre sets, and many more groundbreaking works throughout his career. This lithograph will add bold design and color to any space.
