It's Time to PARTY!

Please join us for food, fun, and festivities at the Fourth Annual Plates with Purpose Event on September 23, 2023.  Guests will be treated to a culinary adventure at the Loading Dock designed by elite chefs, including Chefs Luke Venner of Elm, Jeff Taibe of Taproot, Julio Genao of Prime, Peter Mamadjanian of Abigail Kirsch, and Hannah Gorman of Revel with DinnerThyme! Enjoy specialty cocktails, and a not-to-be-miss wine & spirits auction, while dancing the night away. VIP ticket packages include a one-hour private cocktail tasting. 


Filling in the Blanks is a non-profit organization that fills the weekend meal gap for children who qualify for the free or reduced school meal programs. By providing a bag filled with healthy food for the weekend, children experience increased academic achievement and a greater increase of success.  

 

Over the past 10 years, FITB has served two million meals. This year alone, we will serve ONE million meals. Filling in the Blanks needs your support to help us further the mission to fight childhood hunger. We purchase 99% of the food for the weekend meal bag program. Events such as Plates with Purpose are crucial for the continuation and growth of the program.

 

The evening will help raise funds to support Filling in the Blanks' mission to fight childhood hunger in local communities.  We are excited to see everyone at Plates with Purpose 2023!

With a staggering enrollment of over 5,500 children in the weekend meal bag program and a reach that extends to more than 200 locations across Fairfield and Westchester Counties, our impact is undeniable. As we prepare for the upcoming school year, demand will rise. Filling in the Blanks urgently requires these key resources to meet the growing needs of our community's children:

  • New Delivery Truck: Ensures efficient distribution.
  • Expanded Warehouse: Accommodates more food for weekend meal bags.
  • New Forklift: Vital for timely food storage and distribution.
  • Food Sourcing: We purchase 99% of food to provide essential nutrients. Your support enables us to continue serving our mission and nourishing more children in need.
