Camp Knife: This handmade knife is the work of TFS alumni parent, Ryan Hahn. Ryan creates knives using traditional techniques and authentic, natural materials such as deer antlers, 100-year-old barn wood, and well-used leather.

This all-around Camp Knife with full tang is made from a Model T Ford leaf spring. The high-carbon steel blade measures 6"; tip to tail it's 11.5". The handle was hand-crafted from black silk-tie micarta. Micarta is a composite formed from layers of a substrate (like cloth, paper, carbon fiber) compressed, and set in resin.

The blade was forged, heat-treated by oil quenching, tempered, and hand polished. Hammer marks were left along the spine of the blade for added decoration.

The accompanying sheath is made from reclaimed leather, hand-sewn and hand-dyed. The design includes a belt loop so the knife can be comfortably carried at the waist.

With its fixed blade, this Camp Knife is suitable in the field for clearing vegetation, preparing meals, and handling general camp chores.

**Care instructions included so you can keep the blade at its best.
