Refired Cone 11 Porcelain Crystalline Glaze.
Refiring ceramic vases, also known as bisque firing, is a process in ceramic art where the vases are fired in a kiln after the initial firing to a lower temperature, typically around 900 to 1100 degrees Celsius (1650 to 2012 degrees Fahrenheit). This process is done to achieve various artistic and technical outcomes. This work produced by Jim Keffer captures the beauty and benefit of the refiring process.
