A Resident Artist at The Clay Studio from 2004-2005, Kari Radasch is a functional potter and tile maker living in Portland, Maine. Kari creates works of art that play significant roles in our lives, pieces that we interact with frequently and with relish. They are participants during family dinners, and witnesses to moments of joy and connection. Through her use of form and color, Kari brings a level of humor and whimsy to her work that is undeniable. While at The Clay Studio, Kari experimented with glazes and unexpected color combinations to create extraordinary surfaces. Her work has changed significantly since she made this during her Residency, making this piece a unique example of her early work.
