Oil on Wood. 20x32. Joseph Feuerborn.

Joe Feuerborn was born in Chicago in 1929. He attended the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts before entering the Marine Corps in 1948. Upon his discharge he studied at the San Diego School of Fine Arts, subsequently moved to Carmel to study under John and Patricia Cunningham at the Carmel Art Institute.

He was a long-time member of the Carmel Art Association where he proudly displayed his art. In 1955 he traveled the world including a year in Guadalajara, Mexico gathering material for his future paintings. His work has been purchased by many art patrons and celebrities here and abroad and has been reproduced for international distribution. He was proud of his one man shows across the country.

Joe lived in Carmel for 30 years before moving to San Miguel, Mexico in 1986, where he continued to paint. He lived in Mexico until his death at 82 years.
