Boutique Lake Tahoe Cabin. Available September 7-14 or September 21-28, 2024 for up to one week stay. Sleeps 8-10. The Smith family cabin on the west shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe, California (Lake of the Sky) has recently been remodeled and landscaped. The wrap around deck has a lake view, Brown and Jordon deck furniture, BBQ, and lush garden with a falling stream and winding path. Freshly planted aspen, shrubs, wildflowers, potted plants, and ground cover accent the front and back slopes providing a green shade of privacy. Neighbors, friends, and children are often found exploring the property enjoying its welcome as a secret garden. The upstairs sleeps two in a well-appointed master bedroom with queen sized bed, WIFI (throughout), TV, desk, two closets and views of the gardens. The living room and modern kitchen form one great room with 270 degrees of floor to ceiling plate glass windows. It is a tree house with a peek-a-boo of the lake among the pines. A sliding glass door opens to the back yard deck, grass lawn, and garden. There is a media center with TV and stereo. The rising sunrise on the mountain slopes across the lake brings colorful beams of morning light into the room. The stone gas fireplace warms the room with a flame of wood fires reminiscent of the past. There is central heating upstairs and down. The kitchen has a farm sink, dishwasher, Wolf gas stove, enclosed microwave, Sub-Zero refrigerator, and pull-out pantry. Outside stairs link the downstairs. Entering the lower level there is a laundry with a secondary refrigerator. This floor has a master bedroom with a lake view, queen sized bed, TV, and exit door to the garden and hammock. Next to it is a small bedroom with two twin beds, and a hospitality cubby with microwave and coffee maker. Down the hall is a cozy bunk room with two bunk beds that sleep four. Each floor has a bathroom. The property faces east with a short walk to the lake (about 100 yards) and is a member of the Rubicon Park Estate Improvement Association (RPEIA). Across the street is a private parking lot, sandy beach and pier with benches. It is perfect to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an evening dip. Guests are welcome with notification and pass cards provided by the Smiths. The Smith family Tahoe cabin is a private residence (not a rental) and has been in our extended family since 1965. The cabin is located at 8821 Victoria Circle, Tahoma, CA 95142. The owners are Elizabeth and Kenton W. Smith. Elizabeth is a survivor of Trigeminal Neuralgia and Board member of the Facial Pain Foundation. Our sibling families own two cabins adjacent to the property. There is a long loving history of summer and winter vacations water sports, snow skiing, hiking, biking, swimming, sailing, and picnics. Just about everyone knows one another and have raised children and grandchildren coming to the lake. Please no smoking and no pets. There may be bears sharing the neighborhood.
