WOMEN IN ART; 50 FEARLESS CREATIVES WHO INSPIRED THE WORLD
BY: RACHEL IGNOTOFSKY
TABLE DECORATORS: KIRSTEN LEROUX, SHERRY PHILLIPS, JONIE ROSE, EVELYN TENNYSON AND VICKIE THOMPSON
These books were chosen because of their focus on art. Beautiful, colorful, abstract, realism; art speaks in all languages - attracting people from all walks of life. Public Art provides us the abilities to open up lines of communication within our own housing.
"Women in Art; 50 Creatives Who Inspired the World" book has inspiring profiles and stories, dating back to the 11th century, of women who made a difference in their lives and communities. "The Joy of Art" book provides instruction and allows the reader to understand and enjoy art.
The Pagosa Springs Arts Council is inspired by both of these books; inspired enough to share their love of art within our community.
