Teaching Shakespeare with Purpose: A Student-Centered Approach (Arden Bloomsbury, 2016, co-authored by Laura Turchi), Passing Strange: Shakespeare, Race, and Contemporary America (Oxford University Press, 2011) and The Cambridge Companion to Shakespeare and Race (Cambridge University Press, 2021).

About the Author:
An innovative, interdisciplinary scholar, Thompson models ways to bring disparate fields, methodologies, and theories together to tackle how the past informs our present and our potential futures. In 2020 Thompson became a Shakespeare Scholar in Residence at The Public Theater in New York.
