"It is very early in the morning and I head out for a photo safari. The light was just beginning to hit the peaks of the mountains.
All was quiet with no traffic on the road that travels through Snow Canyon, Utah. While standing in the middle of the road I was mesmerized by the advancing sunlight in the background and the depth perception of the disappearing road into the distance. I sat down in the road and captured this moment for this painting."

The Art competition "Blue" started in September 2022 and concluded on October 20, 2022. Art Room Gallery received entries from many countries around the world: USA, Ecuador, Canada, Philippines, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Spain, Poland, Germany, Mexico, Finland, Australia, and Lithuania. The Blue theme in this competition included a diversity of types, styles, and mediums (oil on canvas, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, digital painting, and photography). The following evaluation criteria were used for judging the artwork: creativity, interpretation of the theme, originality and quality of art, overall design, demonstration of artistic ability, and usage of medium. The judges decided to select 130. This painting was featured and was awarded FINALIST.
