Manufactured by Warder, Mitchell & Co. in the Village of Lagonda (now part of the City of Springfield Ohio), this company, operated by Benjamin Warder and Ross Mitchell, later became 1/5 th part of The International Harvester Co. when founded by J.P. Morgan in 1902.
Featuring their iconic mounted Knight and showing a Champion sickle-bar Mower in action, today this site is Home to the New
Topre America manufacturing plant located at the intersection of Lagonda and Reaper Aves.
This rare image was first used about 1865 and predates the Company's name change to Warder, Bushnell & Glessner in the 1870s.
