This iconic Photo-Print was taken about 1890 looking East up High St. towards St. Raphael Church from what was then called Market St., now known as Fountain Ave.
It shows wonderfully dressed Gentlemen in their Bowlers and Straw Hats and beautiful Ladies with their bonnets in their "Sunday best."
In addition, there are Buggies & Wagons and the classic Trolley Cars of the day. You can see the original "core-block" buildings with their Awnings & Fire Escapes at left and "The When" haberdashery at Kelly's Arcade.
