Situated in an elevated position, nestled into the hillside overlooking the typical Spanish village of Bedar, is Casa Fuentecica. This fabulous villa is within walking distance to the white hilltop village, which includes a handful of local bars and restaurants, plus a few shops, bakery and pharmacy. Alternatively, the larger popular resort of Mojacar with its long sandy stretch of beach can be reached within a 20 minute drive, offering a vast array of restaurants, beach bars and shops, as well as the fishing port of Garrucha.

Furnished comfortably, all bedrooms include the benefit of air-conditioning. Doors lead out from the mezzanine lounge out onto the terrace which provides an inviting setting for alfresco dining and an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful mountain and sea views down towards the coastline of Mojacar in the distance. Should you require the services of a cook during your stay, this can be arranged on a time plus materials basis.

Bedar - An authentic Spanish village, in existence since the time of the Moors and nestling into the lower slopes of the Filabres mountains, in Andalucia, approximately 15 kms inland from the coastal resorts of Mojacar Playa and Garrucha. As you drive towards this picturesque mountain village, Bedar becomes a focal point sitting astride a pretty hillside setting in a quiet and calm atmosphere and still retaining many of the original cottages which line the narrow streets and little alleyways. All every-day needs are catered for including a Post Office, Chemist, Surgery and a supermarket. Start your day with a walk to the Bakery to buy freshly baked bread or croissants. And don't forget your camera - you will be inspired by shots of beautiful bougainvillea or pink & white almond blossom in January. There are three good restaurants/bars offering a variety of cuisine so no need to go far to enjoy the ambience of this lovely village, but at the same time providing an ideal base from which to explore this little known area of Spain.

Almeria airport - 50 minutes.
Murcia - 1 hour 30 minutes.
Alicante - 2 hours.
Malaga - 3 hours.

The main house comprises three bedrooms, one double, two twin, each with ensuite bathrooms. A separate casita comprises 1 double bedroom, lounge and bathroom. Accommodation in total is for 8.

Restrictions: Airfare and travel costs to and from the villa not included. To be used on a mutually agreed upon date between the winning bidder and the donor. We cannot guarantee high season weeks (June, July, August). More likely out of season weeks will be available but we will try and meet the winning bidder's preferred week or get as close to it as possible. Due to the popularity of the destination, we may on occasion have to defer the week to the following year.
