Beam Camp is a sleepaway camp for kids 9 - 12 years old! Located in the woods of New Hampshire equipped with two lakes for swimming and boating, an athletic field for sports, delicious food in our beautiful dining hall, and incredible people making it all happen. But none of that is what's truly special about Beam Camp. What makes Beam Camp different from other sleepaway experiences is our focus on building and project making! We have a fully equipped woodshop, metal shop, fabrication lab with laser cutter and 3d printer, and an art barn for ceramics, sewing, painting, papier mache, printmaking, and any other skill you might want to investigate. Campers spend a good portion of their day in those shops, learning the skills and making their own self-designed projects. Both sessions of camp invite practicing artists to lead projects which share their specific skills with campers, and both sessions will engage with this summers Big Project, Welcome Beacon. This donation item will be a spot at Beam Camp for our second session this summer that is running from August 2nd to August 12th, 2023. The total value of the spot at camp is $2,620 but we ask that the minimum bid start at $1,310. The only restriction on this item is that the student must be 9-15 years old to attend Beam Camp session 2.
