The 5th graders sewed these flowers by hand from fabric scraps and leftover pieces. People around the world use fabric flowers for decoration, embellishment, or giving an item a second life by covering up a stain or tear. As the kids sewed together there was laughter, frustration, story-telling, singing, and collaboration. Suggest installations: put it in a frame, use it as a decorative placement, or hang with clothespins on a line.
