Save the (native, beneficial) bees!! But keep annoying stinging wasps away from a cookout and your patio area by hanging this glass wasp trap at the perimeter of the area you wish to protect, without the use of harmful chemicals. Since beneficial bees feed on the pollen and nectar from flowers, they won't be attracted to this trap. Remove the (adorable) lid and add a nonchemical liquid bait such as sugar water, soda or a fruit juice like concord grape juice. You might catch some flies as well! The jar makes a pretty decoration too when not in use, with the glass wasp accent on top of the lid.
