Paula Jackson leads her perennial architectural history walking tour of the Chestnut Hill neighborhood, which has some of finest Victorian architecture in the city. Date to be determined after consultation with tour goers

Back by popular demand......We will start with some BBQ and beverages, and a brief explanation of firefighting history in Lancaster, along with a look at some firefighting artifacts from the days of old. At some convenient time after dinner, a call will come in! We will slide down the fire pole in orderly fashion like true professionals (yes, we really do have an operable fire pole in the house) and board the 1923 International Harvester Fire Engine for a delightful ride around Southern Lancaster County. We will return to the firehouse and celebrate our successful adventure with some ice cream for dessert! 6:00 on Saturday, Sept 9, 2023. Limited to 8 people.

HIKE THE PEQUEA CREEK TRAIL--from Martic Forge to the Coleman Bridge. The Martic Forge Low Grade rail trail parking lot is at River Road and Rt 324

The date will be either Sat, April 1, at 12 noon or Sun, April 2., to be decided by the majority poll of the buyers.

Sat, April 1--,12 noon, prior to the hike: tailgate picnic at Martic Forge Trailhead

Sun April 2--12 noon after church: picnic at the church and later travel to hike

HIKE DETAILS
The trail is level, with no real hazards, paced for scenic enjoyment of the land and Pequea Creek rapids. Local history background information will be provided. The hike is OK for small children and seniors

After hike offering: drive or walk to the Pequea Creek, Martic Forge Trestle Bridge

A woodland treasure trove for ALL ages located in Southern Lancaster County for 35 years. This 2 hour adventure walk, led by an engaging storyteller and environmentalist, features woodland trails, indigenous flora and fauna, use of your five senses, the mystery and magic of the forest, sheltering trees, talking rocks, gnome habitats and a troll bridge! Legends of these little creatures, are first introduced in the Gnomery Hut and then referenced throughout the nature walk. The tour season is from April through October. Winter events are chosen for specific dates. This auction package is for six people on a date of your choice. Reservations are made by calling Case Humphreys at 484-643-3497.

Inspired by Carol Lieber, join us (and the fairies) in creating Fairy Doors. Fairy doors are seen as a magical portal between the fairies and humans. They are a great addition to your garden, home, altar, or wherever you see fit.

Light refreshments and supplies will be provided. This activity is outside and will happen in September in time for Mabon.
