11x17 Collaborative Art Project - Woodburning & Acryllic

About the Art: Through this collaborative art project, the design of a lone sunflower is burned onto a wood plaque and then brought to life with paint. With Rhonda Osterman's composition and pyrography and Claire Long's addition of color, the lucky winner of this item can hang a tribute to the beautiful sunflower fields of Gorman Heritage Farm.

About the Artists:

Rhonda Osterman:
Rhonda is a local artist who creates beautiful signs on wood through a process called Pyrography. She sells her work on Facebook and other local venues.

Claire Long:
Claire is a local artist with close ties as she retired from Gorman Heritage Farm to pursue her art. She paints to show the drama of light and shadow and was excited to add color and pop to Rhonda's new sunflower sign. Claire is active in Cincinnati's art community and this year, she was 1 of 6 local artists chosen to paint a fiberglass book bench for Kenton County (KY) Library's public art project. She is a member of the Woman's Art Club of Cincinnati and the Brush and Palette Painters and has an art studio in Oakley.

Winners have until 5:00 PM on Sept. 11th, 2023 to collect their won items. Items will not be mailed and must be picked up at Gorman Heritage Farm, 10052 Reading Rd during operating hours. Donations are not able to be returned.
