Hero of the Year

My name is Beth Martin and I'm a single momma to 10 year old twin girls. I moved to TN a little over 5 years ago for an amazing job opportunity even though I didn't know anyone and my closest relative was over an hour away. My girls were about to start kindergarten and I had so much anxiety on how I would balance a career and the time schedule of elementary school. This is when I was introduced to the Boys & Girls Club. I had heard of this organization before but did not have any understanding of the impacts they have on so many kids and the community. My girls love the staff who treat them like family, they made friends that will last a lifetime, but most importantly, I feel safe and comfortable every day leaving my girls at the Club. Two years ago, one of my daughters had to have brain surgery and I was overwhelmed by the love and support I received from the Boys & Girls Club. It was such a blessing in such a difficult time. I would have been lost without the help, guidance, and love this Club has shown me and my kids over the last 5 years. I am blessed to call Spring Hill home and even more blessed that we have a community organization like Boys & Girls Clubs!
