Hero of the Year

 I am a long time resident of Middle Tennessee. After moving to Nashville from Boulder, CO at age nine, I became a Club kid. I attended the Nashville Boys & Girls Club for before school, after school and summer care. I have many wonderful memories and the counselors were some of the best influences in that transitional time for me. Before middle school I moved to Franklin, TN where I attended Grassland Middle School and Franklin High School. I went on to attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Middle Tennessee State University. I graduated from MTSU with a degree in Interior Design and have worked on numerous commercial and residential projects over the 17 years I've been practicing. In 2002 I met my husband, Michael Williams who was born and raised in Columbia, TN (I know... a unicorn these days) and in 2006 we decided to make Thompsons Station/ Spring Hill our home. We now have two girls, one in 7th grade at Spring Station Middle School and one in 9th grade at Summit High School. In between cheering on our daughters at their many soccer games, I really enjoy working out, being in the garden, playing with our three dogs and hanging with my family. My guilty pleasures include Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream and reality TV. I am hoping to raise a lot of money and awareness for the Club, as it's a cause that is very close to my heart!
