A case of twelve bottles featuring the most famous of the Wines of Bordeaux, le grand cru. In 1889 the French government classified Bordeaux wines, naming only four estates "Le Grand Cru": Chateau Lafite Rothschild from Pauillac, Chateau La Tour from Medoc, Chateau Haut Brion from Graves, and Chateau Margaux from Haut-Medoc. Nearly 100 years later, in 1973, the Minister of Agriculture, Jacques Chirac, added Chateau Mouton Rothschild from Pauillac to the list, making it the fifth wine classified as "Le Grand Cru".
