Pride of the Plains: Spring Herd Dispersal Sale
Closes November 13th at 7:00pm CT
Text AUPRIDE to 76278

With the changing research, teaching, and extension needs of the Department of Animal Sciences here at Auburn University, the difficult decision was made to completely disperse the spring calving herd at the Stanley Wilson Beef Teaching Unit on campus. This offering includes the entire mature cowherd and all bred heifers, as well as the heifer calves that were weaned earlier this fall. This productive group of females is the result of years of breeding for maternal ability, docility, and adaptability to the low quality forages prevalent in the Southeast. Many of these pedigrees will include some of the most recognizable maternal sires in the Angus breed and productive cow families from the Beef Teaching Unit program. Within the lots in this sale, you will find high quality registered Angus, Beefmaster, and Fleckvieh Simmentals, as well as commercial crossbred cows of these breeds and more. Additionally, a select group of fall-born registered Angus and commercial open yearling heifers are being offered from the heart of the replacement heifer pen of the remaining fall-calving herd.

Please stop by Friday November 11th from 1-5pm Central or before kickoff of the Auburn/Texas A&M football game on Saturday November 12th from 9am-Noon Central to view the cattle and visit with the Beef Unit manager about lots you're interested in.
