Take to the skies in an OH6A "Little bird", serial # 190004, built in 1963 by Hughes Helicopter. It was the first OH6A to fly in Feb 1963 and was never issued to the US Army, as Hughes held onto the Helicopter for many years. It is the oldest "Little bird" in existence. Your pilot for the flight, is General (R) Richard Cody, a 6,000hr pilot, the 32nd Vice Chief of Staff and former Eagle 06. This is a rare opportunity for 3 people to experience a 45-minute helicopter flight around the Clarksville, Hopkinsville, and Oak Grove area.
For the past 13 years, Gen Cody has been flying Wounded Warriors as part of his Operation Flying Heroes. Operation Flying Heroes is an event hosted and paid for by GEN (R) Cody as a way to give back to our Nation's heroes.
This is a once in a lifetime experience to fly in a historic aircraft with a member of the Army Aviation Hall of Fame at the controls.
Flight will depart from Outlaw Field and potential fly days are 18-20 April 2023. Weather dependent.
