A long time resident of Walton County, Justin Gaffrey enjoyed a variety of successful careers prior to turning to art in 2001. The love he felt for the act of creating was what ultimately led him to dive into the purely creative life of a visual artist. Working with pure acrylic paints and using mostly a palette knife, Gaffrey creates works of breathtaking beauty and complexity. His technique is best described as sculpting with paint, and while his subject matter varies, his works are all reflections of the beauty he finds in the natural world surrounding him on 30a.

Magnolia Interlude is a collaborative concept with Chef Fleetwood Covington. It's about the space in between the four seasons, represented playfully through the Magnolia tree. You can see two landscapes with an ethereal space in between- a made up space and time. Here everything changes, these huge transitions happen, but the whole picture is intangible and unseen.
