Nothing short of perfection, Ackerman Family Vineyards was founded in 1994 and did not release its first commercial vintage for nine years. Each year, they produced small- batch boutique lots. They gave them away as gifts to other winemakers and esteemed sommeliers in Napa Valley, gathering feedback and constructive criticism on what to change the following year. They released it to the public only when they felt it was worth it.

President and founder, Lauren Ackerman put her heart and soul into the brand she's built and has made philanthropy an integral part of the meaning and drive. Recently, she was elected to be on the General Advisory Planning Committee (GPAC) 2040, a special committee of 15 members that advises the Mayor and City Council of Napa on strategic initiatives for the next 20 years of Napa's growth. Lauren completed The Philanthropy Workshop, a global strategic philanthropy program offered by the Rockefeller Foundation in New York, in 2003.
