This Winkler II Belt knife was designed to be a lightweight and high performance tool. Blade length is 4 3/4" and the overall length is 9". Its handle is sculpted maple and the entire knife is finished in Caswell No-Glare. A felt lined leather sheath is supplied with the knife. This knife is in a presentation box with a certificate of inspection.
Winkler Knives is a limited production company that custom manufactures a diverse line of high-performance edged tools. It was established in response to requests from the SOF Community for specialized breaching tools. It has become widely acclaimed for its no-frills tactical and rescue operations approach.
Let it be known this knife that lays before you has been carried by several Special Operations warriors across several continents while serving in harm's way.
For what appears to be just another Winkler knife is much more. Over the past eight years, this knife has been carried by Green Berets, Army Rangers, and Navy SEALs.
It has seen service in the Darien Gap between Columbia and Panama and still carries the rust from the jungle humidity. This knife still carries sand from when it was carried while crossing the border from Jordan into Syria on one of the first US patrols, long before any media knew of their presence. The knife shows scars and scrapes along its sheath as it rubbed across door frames in Mosul, Iraq, when carried by SEAls assisting Iraqi forces in hunting down ISIS. This knife has been tempered by the extreme heat and cold climate in Afghanistan as it has sat alongside Special Forces from the sweltering heat of salt pan desert to 16000 feet peaks and summits in the bitter cold at altitude.
This knife's imperfections, chips, and scrapes are a SOF Warrior's story.
