Matisse - "Planche VIII", 1920 lithograph, custom framed

This lithograph is 101 years old and has been stored in a print drawer. It has never seen the light of day. It is in pristine condition. The frame is designed by Chicago Interior Designer, John Robert Wiltgen.
16 ½ inches tall X 13 ½ inches wide

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is having a major Henri Matisse show starting on October 20 to January 29, 2023. It is titled "Matisse in the 1930's" and this piece is pictured in the book created for this exhibit.

Matisse paintings and drawings from the 1930's are in two museums in France - The Musee de Orangerie, Paris and the Musee Matisse, Nice will be part of this spectacular exhibit. It is supported by the Pierre and Tana Matisse Foundation (Pierre was Matisse's son).
