About the work

This painting, titled "Earth" is from a series of four works, "Fire" "Earth" "Wind" and "Water" that were created by the three of us and is our interpretation of four different elements.

Bio
The Kindred Art Collaborative formed in the fall of 2019, and works and shows regularly in the greater Delaware valley area. We are three old friends who share a love of art, enjoy working together, and a curiosity about what's to come.

· Carl Cellini is a painter, sculptor, musician, composer, martial artist and in-structor of martial arts who grew up in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. He has had numerous painting exhibits in the last forty years and his work has been pur-chased by businesses, schools and individual patrons during this time. He re-ceived his BFA from Temple University's Tyler School of Art in 1980.

· Richard Metz grew up in Abington, Pennsylvania. He received a BFA from Temple University's Tyler school of Art, and an MFA from Maine College of Art. He has been showing art work in the Philadelphia area for 40 years. He recently retired from a career as a high school art teacher.

· Painting and drawing have been a lifetime pursuit for Mikel. Having grown up in Philadelphia, Mikel's art degree is from Philadelphia University of the Arts. In one chapter of his life Mikel went to work as a manager for famed jazz mu-sician Miles Davis for several years. In recent years his focus on Afro-Futurism and world cultures has permeated his individual work.
