Description/Inspiration:

These hoops are a tribute to nimishoomis (My grandfather) a survivor of the residential school system, and my father, who has fought to give me a good life, despite intergenerational trauma.
Under Regular Sale Circumstances 5% of ECM designs done by Sweetgrass & Sage are donated to The Orange
Shirt Society, However, this specific project's usual donated proceeds will go to The Dreamcatcher Foundation.

Artist Bio/Statement:

Sweetgrass & Sage was born with the initiative to bring community together. Through the
consistently growing approach we have been teaching low-cost beading workshops, focusing
on accessible prices, attending community events, and donating proceeds on select projects since 2020. As the founder of Sweetgrass & Sage, I actively strive to find to new ways to support my community and aspire to fight to build a strong urban indigenous presence within Mohkinstisis.
