Description/Inspiration:

Flowers and floral designs are central to Ukwehuwé cultural designs. This is a contemporary take on a floral design. With gold, copper, pink and yellow tones, this piece is larger than most of Otsí:tsi'designs florals. It has gold findings and 14k gold hooks; backed with deer hide. Adorned with mink fur drops that are removable so the wearer can feature just the florals alone. Estimated value at $225.00.

Artist Bio/Statement:

Rebecca Doxtator (she/ they) is from the Oneida Nation of the Thames community and the artist behind Otsí:tsi'designs. Rebecca started beading in 2014 and her work has gone from being a casual hobby to an artistic passion. She creates beautiful and unique beadwork from earrings to bolo ties with on of-a-kind designs. Their work brings a mix of traditional Ukwehuwé beadwork style with a pop culture twist.
