Chasing Me In The Dark is a pen & ink piece that I made during a lost period in my life. It's like chasing my light in my own darkness, trying to find the light inside myself. That's why she's wearing sunglasses, because the light is incredibly light, which she found.

Artist Bio:

Tani Gordon is a visual freelance artist from the Sicangu Lakota Nation of the Rosebud reservation in South Dakota. She received her BA in Art from the Great Plains Art Institute/Sinte Gleska University. She currently sells her work online and local markets or shows.

Artist Statement:

My work mainly consists of pen and ink illustrations, paintings, photography and jewelry making. My inspirations come from nature, femininity, music, film, Lakota philosophy and other great artists. Art communicates beyond words and borders. It's a way of reflecting back to each other the amazing light and love we have for each other.
