Dimensions (HxWxD): Beaded Earrings - 2.1 inches across and 2.3 inches length wise. Horse Hair is 21 inches long. (23 in. x 2.1 in.)

Description/Inspiration:

Floral designs and heading techniques are passed down by my great grandmother. The teardrop gems represent the grief and trauma that our grandparents and loved ones endured at the hands of the residential school system. Orange represents those who have survived and the ones who never made it home. The Fire Color's represent the fire ignited by standing together to honour and support the generations affected by the unforgettable acts of genocide.

My name is Kayla Beth Sasakamoose. I am a 22 year old Indigenous Artist/Artisan from Ahtahkakoop First Nation, Saskatchewan.

I use beads. water colour and acrylic paints to create a variety of Beaded and Hand Painted lightweight jewelry, paintings, and gift items.
