Description/Inspiration:

This design is one of my favorites. I've named it "Morning Prayer". This is the first time I've made it with satin materials. I also used my buffalo/ buffalo skull quilting pattern.

Billy is a skilled seamstress with 20 years of experience specializing in StarQuilt making. Billy comes from a long line of skilled quilters who passed down their love for sewing. Billy is currently passing down these skills to their daughters and younger relatives. Billy's work has been showcased in Vogue and B.Yellowtail artist collective. "StarQuilts are a big part of our everyday life for my people so my business is doing starquilts all day everyday.

Artist Statement:

My name is Billy Werk "Eagle Feather Woman" I am a Gros-Ventre/Siletz native from Montana. I am a skilled StarQuilt sewist and quilter for many years. I come from a long line of StarQuilt makers (mother, Aunty, and grandmother) and I'm also passing it along to my daughters. Starquilts are a big part of our everyday life for my people so my business is doing starquilts all day everyday.
