By Sandy Herbst

36" Large Butterfly

The Sky's sparkling stars at night!

Inspired by the Fountain Hills Dark Sky Community being awarded "Dark Sky International Community"

Sandy Herbst is the owner of Serendipity Art Studio which incorporates the meaning of serendipity as "the faculty of finding valuable things not sought for." Believing "Variety is the Spice of Life", this philosophy is reflected in her many art forms. Sandra works with a multitude of diverse media including collage, mosaic, painted leather and vintage/ revived art. She has painted a violin and guitar in collaboration with another artist for the Music Instrument Museum fund raisers. A collage jeweled violin and painted viola were sold in an on line raffle in Spring of 2021 for "Celebrating Our Symphony" with proceeds to the Phoenix Symphony. Latest project is a jeweled mannequin.

Participating with fundraising for the "Musical Instrument Museum", "Fountain Hills Gives - Flutter at the Fountain" and the "C.A.R. Celebrating the Symphony" is her way of helping others. Sandra (Sandy) Herbst is a retired Graphic Artist. She moved to Fountain Hills in 1994 from Antioch, Illinois. She has been a member of the Fountain Hills Art League for 22 years and producer of the Art League Newsletter for 12 years. Also, enjoying showing at Tour d'Artistes for 10 years.
