The Traffic Violator Classes are for people who have received a citation to help them with their driving record, they have Saturday classes, and they are held from 9am to 5pm with only one day to complete the class requirement. Redding Driving School was established in 2007 to provide the best driver training in the area. They are celebrating 30 years of being locally owned. They have a full-service Driver Education, Driver Training and Traffic School with a large classroom. Driver Education is a required course in the State of California. The Department of Motor Vehicles requires teens under the age of 17 1/2 to take a course to prepare them to become qualified, responsible drivers. After completing Driver Education then they go to the Department of Motor Vehicles and take the written test to get their permit. After receiving the permit, they must have their first driving lesson to validate the permit. Redding Driving School OFFERS DRIVER EDUCATION ONLINE FOR THOSE WHO CAN NOT ATTEND THE CLASSROOM COURSE. The price of driving lessons is $345 for the 6 hour (3 lessons of 2 hours) required by the Department of Motor Vehicles for drivers under 18 years of age. Adult Driver Training lessons would be beneficial for an adult wishing to refresh their driving skills or a Department of Motor Vehicles evaluation. We offer 6 hours to adults for $360 (3 lessons of 2 hours.) One of their driver training vehicles can be used at Redding DMV by anyone wishing to take their Department of Motor Vehicle Road test for $90. If you are not one of their driving students, they require you to take a 1hr lesson prior to using a vehicle for your road test, in that case the fee would be $150.
