One bottle of each of the following four wines: El Jefe, Pinot Gris, Sangiovese, and Viognier by Harbinger Winery out of Port Angeles.

El Jefe: Reserve Rhone Blend: 62% Syrah, 25% Mourvedre, 13% Grenache. This wine is polished and supple with a beam of raspberry and pomegranate fruit teasing the senses. Intense yet harmonious, the El Jefe yields a dark succulence to the palate in the form of cassis, plum and a hint of biodynamic loam. All of this juicy concentration carries nicely into the tannin-laced finish.

Pinot Gris: Just released in time for warm summer days, the 2020 Pinot Gris is sure to wake up any sleepy palate with its bright fruit and crisp acidity. There's a truism about food pairings with this grape that goes like this: "Pinot Gris and things from the sea." Enter the bounty from the Salish Sea (that's our backyards folks). Enjoy this limited wine with good friends and enjoy it often as it won't last.

Sangiovese: Sangiovese, or the "blood of Jove," is probably best known for its role in the Italian wines Chianti and Brunello di Maltacino. This wine exhibits the traditional elevated acidity, medium body, and bright red fruit notes. Judicious vertical barrel-aging has added a sweet tar and smoky vanilla finish. While fabulous now, be assured this "Super-Tuscan" will only get better in the years to come.

Viognier: 76% Viognier, 24% Roussanne: This wine boasts exceptionally heady aromas of tropical fruit, ripe pear, lemon custard, and exotic spices. The rich, round mouthfeel stays crisp and clean through the finish.
