Have you been interested in learning how to sail the beautiful Puget Sound? Board member Frank Elizondo-Alcala and Seattle Sailing Club offer you the AMERICAN SAILING ASSOCIATION- BASIC KEELBOAT SAILING STANDARD (ASA101). In this amazing package valued at over $1,400, you and a friend (2 people!) will receive all the learning material, day pack and instructions to complete this in-person 2-day course at the renown Seattle Sailing Club located in Ballard. As an addition to this package, Board member Frank Elizondo-Alcala will take you and a guest on a private sailing outing aboard his personal sailboat to be scheduled on a mutually agreeable date and practice the skills you will learn from completing your ASA101. Snacks, refreshments, great conversation about sailing, and the amazing work that Homestead Community Land trust is doing will be provided.

American Sailing Association 101: Basic Keelboat

These 15-hour sailing lessons are designed for students who have either never sailed, or have been on the water and are ready to learn more. It is the perfect first step towards becoming a competent sailor. 18+ years old

3 hours in a classroom*; 12 hours on-the-water hands-on instruction.

The course is offered throughout the year. Participants will have to reserve a spot in advance as it's highly sought after and books up quickly. There is usually a waiting list in the summer months. No expiration.

SATURDAY & SUNDAY
9:00am to 5:00pm (both days consecutively)

MONDAY & TUESDAY
9:00am to 5:00pm (both days - same week)

WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY
9:00am to 5:00pm (both days - same week)

Additional Schedule Options (Mid-May thru August)

Monday and Wednesday from 5:30pm to 9pm (2 consecutive weeks).

Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30pm to 9pm (2 consecutive weeks).
