This experience includes an Implied Improvisation Workshop with Teaching Artist DeAnna Massie.

In this highly interactive workshop, DeAnna will introduce you and your team to the art and practice of applied improv. Participants will get hands-on training in engaging techniques and games that help develop leadership skills, concentration, confidence, creativity, verbal and nonverbal communication skills, and listening skills. This is an ideal professional development opportunity for your company, professional association, or any community that wants to learn how to work better, together.

DeAnna Massie has both an MFA and ED.D. degrees and is a teaching artist, actor, and researcher specializing in improvisation and performance. DeAnna is an eighteen-year veteran of improv who has toured the United States as a performer and is one of only 52 Certified Applied Improv practioners in the world. She has trained at Second City and with Aretha Sills, granddaughter of Viola Spolin, the creator of improv and theatre games. DeAnna is the President of the Midwest Regional Association for Developmental Education and was a 2016 nominee for the ICCTA Teacher of the Year Award.

This workshop will be held at a mutually agreed upon date and time scheduled directly with the artist.
