While we take comfort in knowing our team is safe, we are heartbroken over the devastation throughout our community and the coastal areas impacted by Hurricane Ian. Although the Wang Opera Center sustained significant damage from the storm, our team quickly took action to minimize the impact. The facility experienced between two to three feet of storm surge water incursion in the building. While the Wang Opera Center needs a lot of work before we can use it again, we are truly grateful for the dedicated team of staff and volunteers that has been hard at work focusing on immediate damage mitigation.
