You can still participate in the auction!The Denver Chalk Art Festival started in 2003, historically occurring during June on the streets of Larimer Square. In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Festival took place in driveways and on sidewalks around Denver. In 2021 chalk festival artists showcased their work at the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. The Denver Chalk Art Festival and CherryArts have collaborated previously on outreach programs and last year's partnership took it up a notch. In 2022, CherryArts will continue to support the Denver Chalk Art Festival, in its new home.
CherryArts is a year-round nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide access to art experiences and support arts education in Colorado. Proceeds from the Auction benefit the CherryArts year-round mobile education programs that impacted over 28,000 students last year. CherryArts delivers education programming to nurture future generations of art supporters and expose young minds to the many social and individual benefits of experiencing and creating art.
The experiential art programs, including the Mobile Art Gallery, Student Art Buying Program and the Mobile Art Cart. These mobile programs bring art experiences directly into schools with the goal of fostering lifelong relationships with arts and culture.
