Doug Williams made NFL history as the first African American Quarterback to start and lead a team to a championship, in Super Bowl XXII. He was named Super Bowl MVP after passing for 340 yards and four touchdowns, a single-quarter Super Bowl record which he set in the second quarter of that game. He is beloved in Washington DC and beyond for his skills on the field and in the community. Following his playing career, Williams began coaching, most notably serving as the head coach of the Grambling State Tigers. Following that, Williams has been a team executive for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and is currently an executive with the Washington Commanders.
