Join the team at wine-focused restaurant The Barrel Room for an evening of food and wine to remember! Sarah Trubnick, SW, CSWS, DipWSET, Co-Founder and Wine Director of The Barrel Room, will guide guests through the fascinating emerging wine regions of the US, pairing wines from excellent producers with dishes created by Executive Chef Manuel Hewitt to showcase them. Dishes will use local, responsibly sourced and farmed ingredients.

Sarah originally opened The Barrel Room in its San Francisco Financial District location in 2015 but was forced to shutter during the worst of the pandemic. The team reopened last month and are thrilled to be welcoming guests back to its various spaces, a 60-seat dining room, 25-seat wine room, 16-seat cellar and speakeasy bar in a former bank vault, for dinner, Tuesday through Friday, as well as on-demand for events.

Guests can discover wines from surprising appellations such as Vermont, Michigan and Pennsylvania, alongside a wide range of wine styles by influential producers-including formerly furloughed sommeliers and beverage professionals who began making wine during the pandemic.

The Barrel Room opened as a small wine bar in the SF Tenderloin, later expanding into the Rockridge neighborhood in Oakland, then opening in the SF Financial District in 2015 as a restaurant, full bar, event space, and retail bottle shop. The Barrel Room offers a by-the-glass list of more than 50 wines, offered independently and in educational flights, served blind. The extensive international bottles list features iconic producers and styles from influential wineries, as well as underrated yet equally remarkable productions, and includes more than 1000 selections.
