"Heart Chickens" are an idea thought up by Jacqueline Bouchard. Jacqueline, or Jac as she's called by her family and friends, started drawing them a few years ago. She began showing everyone her pictures of chickens, and they were in the shape of a heart. The idea of "heart chickens" was born. But it wasn't until she was asked to make a piece of art to donate for Pooler Karate's 2nd Annual Wild Game Dinner that she turned it into a watercolor painting.
Jac is 13 years old and was diagnosed with Microcephaly when she was five months old. Through God's grace, much work, lots of therapy, and tons of love, Jac has defied the odds given to her at birth that she might not walk, talk, see, or hear.
Jac is a Special Kicks student at Pooler Karate and loves Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, cupcakes, owls, babies, unicorns, and Ed Sheeran.
She hopes that you love her special painting of her heart chicken and that it brings you as much joy looking at it as it did for her to paint it.
