The Conservancy's focus area is the small Fire District of Watch Hill, RI. Watch Hill is recognized as a Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places declared by the United States Secretary of the Interior and the National Parks Service. The historic designation report identifies more than 100 structures as significantly contributing to the historic value of the District.

This special place has much to offer historically, and when it comes to natural resources. The mouth of the Pawcatuck River can be seen from the shore of Napatree - between the river system, the rare habitats on Napatree, and the inshore coastal features like the Watch Hill reef system - we are in a located in an area where the natural and man-made environment meet in a unique and notable way.

We represent our members by actively engaging in matters related to our mission of Conserving and Preserving Watch Hill and Little Narragansett Bay.
