This basket includes all of the wines features in Devereux's Wine & Dine event:

  • Douloufakis Dafnios Vidiano 2020 (Greece) - Born on the beautiful Greek island of Crete, home to the ancient Minoan civilization and some of the finest food and wine in modern Greece, the 2020 Douloufakis Dafnios Vidiano brightens the glass with a splash of sunshine and caresses the olfactory with savory scents of apricot and tropical fruits. In the mouth, the wine's bright, crisp tropical fruit and mineral flavors provide palate pleasing pleasure and a salty fresh finish that conjures images of the deep blue Aegean Sea that cradles Crete. The 2020 Douloufakis Dafnios Vidiano is extremely expressive, sensual, and easy to drink from start to finish, and conjures images of Crete, the island's fun loving people, and their lust for all that is good in life.
  • Filipa Pato - Bairrada 'Dinamica' Branco 2021 (Portugal) - Brillant straw yellow colour with greenish rim, good viscosity. Pearish nose (typical for the Bical grape) with some hints of iode and a certain spiciness (thyme and rosemary). The mouth is refined, creamy, relatively smooth and has present minerality, a kind of saltiness due to typical Atlantic climate. The middle pallet is fruitdriven and the aftertaste is dry and refreshing with a lingering acidity.
  • Skouras Megas Oenos Red 2018 (Greece) - Intense deep garnet color with violet highlights. The nose has depth, concentration, complexity, but also finesse. Aromas of red and black fruits. Such as raspberry and cherry, blueberry and blackberry along with spices, tobacco and leather notes. On the palate it is silky but robust with gentle tannins and balanced acidity, the aromas of red and black fruits, cloves, black pepper and a touch of herbs stand out. Long aftertaste with great complexity.
  • David & Nadia Sadie Elpidios 2019 (South Africa) - The 2019 Elpidios presents a beautifully defined nose of Bing cherry, boysenberry and raspberry preserve, touches of sous-bois and Provençal herbs developing with time. The palate is medium-bodied, with the Grenache firmly in the driving seat (38% of the blend), delivering touches of clove and white pepper and a persistent, caressing, fleshy finish that lingers.
  • Barbadillo Pedro Ximenez Sherry (Spain) - Beautiful mahogany color and aromas reminiscent of plums, raisins and chocolate against a background of noble oak. Velvety and syrupy on the palate. Log finish with the predominant retro nasal sensation being that of raisins.
