Team Military & First Responders is led by Captain Kevin Brennan and Alternate Captain Eleanor Berberich. This team will be raising funds to support military service members and first responders in Tampa Bay.

The Lightning team members drafted to team Military and First Responders are #27 Ryan McDonagh, #14 Patrick Maroon, #20 Nick Paul, and #98 Mikhail Sergachev.

Team Captain Kevin Brennan: "I have a heart for veterans and first responders, because I am both and come from a serving family. My father served FDNY and as Pinellas County Deputy, my Son is a Firefighter and I'm a retired Firefighter and a veteran of the United States Air Force. I also have twin nephews that served in the United States Marine Corp in Afghanistan Operation Freedom as snipers. Both were wounded one of the brothers severely wounded. One serves as a Pinellas County Deputy the other still working through his injuries. My family has personally experienced the sacrifice to protect our freedom."

Alternate Captain Eleanor Berberich: "It takes a special person to stand up for and care for people they don't know. Our veterans and first responders are the ones who run towards danger to protect and help us even though they do not know those they serve. Veterans, first responders and their families make great sacrifices to keep us safe and they all do it for the good of our local communities and country. These individuals and their families are courageous, selfless and they will never ask for anything in return. Through both my experiences in the US Army Reserves as well as being the daughter of a WWII veteran, I am especially grateful for all of those who have served and are serving today. Any chance I have to bring our community together to provide support and opportunity to our nation's veterans, first responders and their families is a privilege. I am grateful for this chance to give back to those that have given us the safety and freedom to do the things we do every day."
